Beliefs are not black and white. Unlike the common mistake of nowadays judging positions as either being based on certain evidence or rendered down to baseless beliefs and blind faith, beliefs actually exist on a spectrum or rather a two dimensional space with one dimension representing the strength of belief, and the other the probability of it. On this space, a strong belief based on high probability is considered a rational belief. A strong belief based on no evidence is considered blind faith. And, a strong belief based on negative probability is considered delusional.
